American cycling apparel manufacturer DannyShane, based in Austin, TX, announced today a collaboration and sponsorship with the Norwegian UCI Mountainbike Team Oslo Sportslager. Team Oslo Sportslager is a UCI registered Endurance XC team, competing both in mountainbike and road racing, as well as triathlon and duathlon events. DannyShane will supply the team with performance cycling apparel as well as casual wear.
“We are excited about this partnership with our first professional racing team” says Christian Beer, Director of Global Digital Sales and Team Liaison. “The goal is to provide Team Sportslager with innovative apparel technology but also make them stand out with DannyShane’s unique design aesthetic. And, they will be collaborating with us on new products which will then be made available to end-consumers.” Currently, the team gear includes prototype thermal wear and it is expected that these garments will be available to the public this fall. DannyShane creates eco-conscious designer cycling apparel and is known for their unique designs and their cutting-edge bamboo-ash infused fabric.
Team Oslo Sportslager foremost goals for the 2014 season are the Norwegian National Marathon MTB Cup, the Norwegian National Championship, and the European Marathon Championship. Their star rider, Carl Fredrik Hagen, 23, aims to add the individual Norwegian and European titles to his impressive palmares, adding onto his winnings at the 2013 NC Molde Challenge, the NC Furusjøen Rundt, and the Valdresrittet.
